Picnic in Laurelhust Park

Picnicing in the park with Etsy ladies (+ kiddos) was a blast!

There was a lot of great show n' tell...

Tasty picnic munchies (scones, popcorn, chocolate and both pumpkin and blueberry bread!)

And best of all - lots of crafting!












we had some good fun with wool (above there is a sock and a purse being created) I played with some felting - this was a first for me! what fun!

Elaine brought a whole huge bunch of lavendar from her farm to share with us!




now all our cars smell good!






I busted out a few pairs of pliers and a bunch of glass bits on wire - the kiddos got to make mobiles! It was good times for all - beautiful mobiles were handcrafted by mini hands (and a few adults) and each and every one was a masterpiece! I couldn't help myself from taking pictures of all the kids and their creations!

Masterpieces! I will try and remember to keep taking pictures - so to not be so lazy about this blog!

Over a month has passed - many wonderful tea times have happened that I keep forgetting to take any pictures or blog at all!!! Ah how summer gets busy.

PDX Etsy June 9th Show

PDX Etsy Arts n Crafts Sale - out in the park on the PSU campus - right next to the huge Portland Farmers Market. What an opportunity!!!

It ended up raining. It rained hard. Personally I was a soggy mess - but I got some great pictures before the rain started, I spent the day with fabulous company, we made good sales, met good customers - and we got to eat yummy farmers market food!!!

and then we got to come home and check our computers to see Etsy selling for us online simultaneously!!! woohoo

Tea Time: April 5th 2007

Today we had a great turn out
myself, Mary(PrettyThingsJewelry), Ryan(LittlePutBooks), Kaitlyn(DiscoMedusa) plus Corbin and a friend, Beck(Daisy Chains), Jennifer(PunkyKids) and Kristen(Urbana) - if I am leaving anyone out - I am so sorry - I am writing this after the fact and trying to remember who was there... please let me know who I slipped.


lots of discussion for the upcoming show (June 9th!!! - PDX Etsy Street Team will be representing in the Portland State Park blocks that Saturday) Kristin gave us a lot of information. Big shout outs go to Kristen and Adrienne for planning the show - they rock!!!

Field Trip: the Rebuilding Center PDX

Field Trip!





Corinna(Piddix) gave us the most wonderful tour of the Rebuilding Center - Thank you so much!!! This was awesome, informative and inspirational. I even picked up this super cool wooden screen that looks great with my mobiles hanging in it. It makes a fabulous display for vending! isn't it sweet! It was a steal at only $5 (there is a hinge broken - but I love it none the less!)
